Gearing Up for Father’s Day

   Do you ever start making a card going in one direction then do something completely different? I did with this one.  I had planned to use all the colors in this Product Suite and ended up only using two.   I’m really happy with how it turned out though…and….happy to see that this stamp set and die set are in the new catalog!

   A long time ago, Stampin’ Up! had a really cool classic car stamp set, convertibles I think…I didn’t buy it and was sorry I hadn’t…and have been waiting all these years for Stampin’ Up! to come out with another classic car stamp set! The gear dies make it even more fun!!

Pretty straight forward card…

  • Card Base Real Red Card stock:   8 ½” x 5 ½” – score at  4 ¼
  • Very Vanilla Card stock scrap:  3 1/2” x 2”  for car
  • Classic Garage Designer Series Paper:   5 1/2” x 3 1/4”
  • Silver Foil scrap for gear with multipurpose Adhesive Sheet backing
  • Black/Silver Striped Ribbons:   Two: 6 ½” each
  • Stamp car and sentiment with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
  • Color car with Dk. & Lt. Real Red, Dk. Daffodil Delight and Dk. Smokey Slate
  • Stampin’ Blends.
  • Using Garage Gears Thinlit die cuts, cut out car.
  • Adhere ribbon strip, scotch tape to backside of Designer Series Paper, adhere to card base.
  • Adhere car with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Adhere Adhesive Sheet to back of Silver Foil, cut Gears out, cut one side of gears off.
  • Adhere gears, snuggly against the DSP

Scrapbooking Products Make Easy Cards

    I’m working at getting into a routine again, surgery, and other health issues, then back to back to back…weekends away are hazardous to a work schedule! Life!!

    I wanted to show you how fun the Tea Room Memories & More Card Pack is. All the M & M Card Packs make it fun, fast and easy to make a bunch of cards in a relatively short time. I used the Tea Room Cards to make customer thank you cards for my Card Buffet friends.

This was one of my favorites. I just used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut the “Hello” card and used another small card as a mat for it.  I used two of the larger cards, cut them…didn’t even measure…wrapped some ribbon around in a couple places, added a self-adhesive “Fly” die cut that comes with the Pack and there you go! Easy Peasy!

I also used the Large and Small Whisper White Cards & Envelopes that fit the Card Packs perfectly. Here’s some of the other cards I made with the Card Pack:

Bloomin’ Beautiful

   I just love the bright cheery colors of this suite of products…and flowers are always a good thing for me! The stamp set, Bloom By Bloom and the Happiness Blooms Designer Series paper are retiring and will no longer be available after June 3rd…or until supplies last.

SSS MARCH 2019 PROJECT

   I’m part of a 8 person group of Demonstrators, we call ourselves the Simply Suite Stampers…get it?? Of course you do! Each of us submits a tutorial for one project every month with a chosen Suite of products. We’re just getting started. This was my March submission. My team gets all 8 tutorials for free! Coming soon, I will offer the tutorial for free with a $50 purchase or maybe just for purchase.

  • Pineapple Punch Ink: Stamp image down side of card, flip stamp around each time you stamp. Stamp first flower on Stitched Circle and on Post-it note, (*mask).
  • Night of Navy ink: Stamp sentiment (Amazing Life Stamp Set) onto Frame and stamp flower center. Put mask directly onto flower.
  • Calypso Coral ink: Stamp next flower slightly overlapping masked flower, make a mask for this flower.
  • Lovely Lipstick ink: Keep masks on; stamp 3 small flowers, For small flower masks, take 3 Post-it
  • Call Me Clover ink: Keep all masks in place, stamp leaves, take off all masks.
  • Happiness Blooms paper: adhere to card, tie Calypso Coral ribbon around card.
  • Adhere frame and stamped Circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Adhere Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots.
  • Make a mask: stamp image on full-adhesive Post-it Notes, cut out with papersnips, just inside the lines.

Strong & Beautiful

 Love, love, love the name of this stamp set and the wonderful, uplifting sentiments! I hope this set stays current for a long time to come. It is one I will use forever, for my daughters and friends, that are all such strong and amazing women.

Beautifully Detailed

   The Beautifully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper, has so many beautiful designs and creative possibilities. One side is this Petal Pink color the other side is white and can be  colored with any color of ink that you’d like.

It’s hard to see the leaf texture on the Glimmer paper, in person it is much more noticeable. The leaves were made from the Wonderful Framelits Dies. The third picture down has a little bit better view of the texture.

Grandma’s Tea Cups

   I can never resist a beautiful tea cup stamp. My maternal Grandmother could never resist a beautiful tea cup! Her name was Grace, and was the very definition of that name. She had so many beautiful and delicate teacups. When I see a tea cup, I always think of her.

Simply Suite Stampers

    The Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies are simply the best card making and scrapbooking tool ever!! There is so much you can do with them!! I’m really happy how this card turned out, the stitched frame, and the monochromatic and very cheerful Daffodil Delight is perfect for the Spring! Again…no matter what the color, that Gingham is just so adorable…can’t get enough of it!

Detailed Gingham Gala Card

~Card Base, Basic Black,  8 ½” x 5 ½”, scored 4 ¼”
~Daffodil Delight Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper,  5 ¼” x 4”
~Beautifully Detailed Panel,  5” x 3 ½”
~Daffodil Delight card stock, 3 ⅝” x 2 ⅜”  for detailed panel backing,
approx. 4 ¼” x 3 ¼”  using 4th & 6th from largest stitched
rectangles for frame, and  approx. 3 ½” x 3”  scrap for butterflies.
~Whisper White card stock, 5 ¼” x 4” for inside card mat. 
~Stamp butterflies with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, punch out.

~Stamp sentiment on Gingham Gala DSP, then adhere to card base.
~Apply adhesive to back of frame then adhere Detailed Panel, with
the white backside to the front.
~Adhere the framed detailed panel to card base.
~Curl wings a bit, adhere to card with Mini-Stampin’ Dimensionals

Broadway Birthday Cupcakes

To make the angled piece I cut a 5 1/4″ x 4″ template of thick card stock, I measured 1″ down both long sides to get the shape you see here. With the template, I could mark the DSP and cut it.

Petal Pink Cupcake

It’s hard to decide which cupcake card I like the best, this one or the Highland Heather Gingham from Monday’s post. You Card Buffet attendees will recognize this card since it was one of the options at this months CB.

I think this might be the first time I used the Petal Pink for a card base. I love it!!

I sure hope you got these thinlit dies if you wanted them…they sold like hotcakes!! One of the advantages of being a demo, or if you prefer the term “active hobbyist” is that we get to pre-order products. I always get my “must haves” during pre-order if possible, just in case they sell out quickly.  With the timing of catalogs and such, SU! can’t always get another shipment.
