I’ve been wanting to use this stamp set for awhile, I’m so glad I finally got the chance! This is a set from the 2017 Holiday Catalog and is not for sale…until the new 2018-2019 Annual Catalog comes out in June! Yep, it made the cut! I’m so glad because I definitely want to play with it some more!

I used Stampin’ Blends to color all but the lower left card, that I watercolored with reinkers. Personally, I’m a white wine girl, but the red wines look so pretty! I thought the Wood Textures DSP was a good fit…wineries so often have a rustic woodsy feel to them. I bring you more good news…SU! is keeping the Wood Textures DSP too! Such a great basic essential to card making…I think anyway…and apparently SU! thinks so too.

If you are looking for and don’t already have a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, I would happy to be yours! I’m happy to answer product and technique questions.  If I know, I’ll tell you the answer. If I don’t know, I’ll find you the answer! I would be thrilled if you left a comment, question or suggestion in the comments section below all the products.

Just the name of this stamp set can brighten your day! What a fun set to play with! Adhering a bunch of die cuts isn’t my favorite thing to do on a card, but by using the adhesive sheets it made these cards a breeze. I love that the set has various cloud dies…it makes for more interesting cloud arrangements, don’t you think?

One of the embellishments that is not carrying over to the 2018-2019 catalog are these Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes. I’m definitely going to be stocking up on these, they are so cute on flowers…glass jars…raindrops…

I couldn’t decide which I liked better, all fluffy white clouds or a combination of both fluffy white and darker more foreboding clouds. So, I made both! My husband liked the all fluffy white clouds. After making them and photographing them, I think I’m inclined to agree with him…they just look so cheerful!

Stampin’ Up!’s March Paper Pumpkin was Awesome!! In celebration of Paper Pumpkin’s 5 year Anniversary all Paper Pumpkin subscribers received this Wood Accent embellishment pack! It’s so pretty! This kit is right up my ally, I LOVE flowers, and then to make them antique-shabby chic…well, what’s not to love about it!

WMMARpaperpumpkin Collage

I buy two kits every month, sometimes I sell the second kit if I don’t need it. Sometimes I use my kits to make goodies for our Bible Study group that meets at our house, sometimes as Card Buffet favors for my customers or customer thank you’s. I put these in a retired Crumb Cake envelope to send out as thank you’s. I like to send cards to my customers with a handwritten note on a seperate piece of paper…usually the Memories and More Card Packs fulfill this purpose…that way they can reuse the card and send it to one of their loved ones.

If you haven’t tried Paper Pumpkin, now is a good time. If you sign up for the month to month subscription, you get the first two months at 50% off! You have to sign up by May 10th to get this deal! You can cancel your subsription at any time. (It must be canceled by the 10th of the month in order to not receive that months kit)

Part of the fun of Paper Pumpkin is that it is a surprise every month!! The anticipation is so fun! Plus, they are even prettier in person than in the pictures!

Another perk of being a Paper Pumpkin Subscriber is that you can purchase refill kits when they are available!

Another short blog post. These are the other 3 cards I offered at my April 10th Card Buffet. I LOVE this adorable bunny card. A friend of mine has another grandaughter on the way, so I got to use this card this month! The Flirty Flamingo Classic Stampin’ Pad and Card Stock are only going to be available until supplies last since they are retiring at the end of May. Get them while you still can!

I also really love this bottom card, the wood and the roses is such a pretty combination and it’s a quick card to make.

Just a quick post here to show you some of the stamping fun, we’re having at my Card Buffet Class! WMAPRIL CB 2018

These are 3 of the 6 cards my ladies got to choose from. The other 3 will be in next weeks blog post.

I’m sorry for such a short post. My husband was just diagnosed with Lymphoma and our lives have become chaotic and I’m not functioning as well as I usually do. We think he is going to be fine, but it’s going to be a rough road for awhile.

I hope these note cards either inspire you to send someone you love and care about a quick note, or to sit down and give yourself a little creating time…so you can later send someone a quick note.

Now that we have 8 people in our immediate family, we group all of our birthdays into 3 events per year. The “boys” Curtis, Cyle  and Zach are all in February and March. So we do a Winter bday celebration with them. Our Spring bday celebration includes Stephanie’s April bday and Brian and Lindsay’s May bday’s. The Fall bday’s are mine in September and Courtney’s in October. With work and social schedules, it works better to narrow it down to 3 celebrations each year.

These are the cards I made for my sons, can you guess which card goes with which son? We celebrated at the best burger place EVER…Burger Saloon in Woodland, Ca. They have about 30 burgers to choose from…we have not been disappointed yet!

This is not the first time we’ve seen Zach eat a burger with everything but the kitchen sink on it! And, Yes, he finished it…not to mention the fries he ate too! And don’t let that “sourpuss” look fool you on Cyle’s face, it’s a game he has always played with his Mom, and now with me, lol! He is a kind-hearted, would take the shirt off his back for a friend, kind of person. The photo bombers are Stephanie, who is sitting beside my son…the one with the chesire cat grin…(and I might add, just as mischievious as the chesire cat, lol). Across from her is Lindsay, our daughter, (Zach’s wife). Courtney, our oldest daughter, (Cyle’s wife), missed the photo bomb opportunity. She’s the one with long blond hair in the bottom right photo.
