Mom’s Day Card
So, my Mom is living in an Assisted Care Home right now, she has fallen a number of times now and is unable to get herself up. Hopefully she will regain some strength and be able to live on her own again. Anyway, she doesn’t drive right now, so she can’t just come over like she used to. We decided to take her out to dinner the night before Mother’s Day, partly to miss the Mother’s Day restaurant madness and so we could be home on Mother’s Day for our kids coming to visit, at different times. I wish she could’ve seen the kids too.
Anyway, I know a card can’t replace seeing the grandkids, but I wanted to make it special and one of a kind! She liked that she is the only one to have this card and she intends to keep it!
I recently bought the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate and have been dying to use it, it’s so pretty! Everything is always prettier in person than it is in the picture in the catalog. I LOVE the new In-Color Berry Burst, and the gold foil compliments it so well! I embossed the flower, which makes it so elegant looking.
I still want to try Powder Pink and Tranquil Tide with this set, but I wanted to give my Mom’s card the royal treatment but using lots of gold!
The new Catalog/Idea Book has a lot of fun new things, one is Mini Sequin Trim…in several colors! I can’t wait to get it!
