Eclipse Vintage Leaves Card
These Vintage Leaves are beautiful and there are so many different colors and ways to use them. I chose Autumn colors, of course, since it’s Autumn. It occurs to me that I need to do them in different greens next time. Stampin’ Up! has so many beautiful greens to choose from that would make a really pretty card. The multicolored leaf in the collage below was simply inked on three different colored ink pads, rotating the stamp as you go. There are many techniques to make the leaves multi-colored. Over time, I will post many of those techniques for you.
The card in the center and center left of the collage below, has gold embossed spots. You can just catch a glimmer of the embossing in the center photo. In person, it’s sparkly and pretty. I have to work on my photography skills, I couldn’t quite capture the shine!
The card in the bottom right corner of the collage above, was inspired by a card in the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog. I love the peach in this color combo, I was glad I tried the Cajun Craze and Peekaboo Peach together. They compliment each other well.
Eclipse Cards are all the rage in the Demonstrator Community now. That’s what the “LEAF” card is called. It’s an easy card to make with a really dramatic effect. If you have any questions about the instructions below please leave it in the comment section below and I will get back to you asap.
Here’s a little bit closer look at the LEAF card.
I can’t tell you how often I use the lines of the Stampin’ Up! grid paper to line up DSP, embellishments, ribbon…whatever, it really helps! You don’t have to use the post-it note tape but it’s especially helpful when photographing the cards.
