So, one of the really cool things about going to Onstage (Stampin Up’s Demonstrator bi-annual conference) is pillow gifts! You bring little handmade/papercrafted gifts…a lot of which contain chocolate…need I say more?…to your roommates. Usually a gift for every day. So much fun! WM ONstage Roomie pillow gifts Collage

These are the gifts I gave to my two roommates. Two very sweet women, that I had gotten to know a little bit on our Facebook Demonstrator group. It was so great meeting them and the rest of the team in person! I just cannot express adequately how much fun it was to go to Onstage!! It was just the first of many, many more that I will atttend!

Being a Stampin Up Demonstrator has a lot of perks, especially in the group I’m in…which you could be too! If your only interest is to get the discount on Stampin’ Up’s fabulous products, that is fine, hobby and business Demonstrators all participate in all the demonstrator fun! I don’t know what the percentages are, but a whole bunch of demo’s are hobby demonstrators that sell to themself and just a few friends. That’s what I did for 10 years, it makes this hobby so much more affordable. It also connects you to a whole lot of crafty women that love paper crafting like you!

Here are some general instructions to make a pretty journal out of a simple notebook. Measurements vary greatly, depending on the size of your notebook. Sanding blocks similar to what you see here, can be purchased on Amazon or at most craft stores.

My first Onstage this past month was phenominal!!! Stampin’ Up! has two Demonstrator events a year, one is a 3-day event…in November, the other is a 1-day event in April. They hold events in several countries simultaneously. I just can’t express how much fun it is!! There were tons of card samples on display boards and in display cases…I took a ton of pictures! We spent probably a quarter of the time watching demonstrations of the new products coming out in January…more on the upcoming deals later…another quarter of the time on Awards…Stampin’ Up! loves to acknowledge achievement!! Then a quarter of the time on business training and the last quarter of time…you guessed it, we stamped with the new products…Oh, and did I mention Prize Patrol??? Yep, we all took home three new catalog stamp sets!!!….Best. Time. Ever.

I got to meet alot of the Demonstrators that I’ve met online and they were all just like I thought they would be, amazing women and they all love to stamp like me! If you ever want to have a fun “job”/ business or just want to get whatever you want from the SU! catalogs, I recommend joining!! I’d love to have you on my team!! Just go to my SU! website here, and click JOIN NOW! More about joining below…

So back to the new products that we got to play with..AND..order..yep, if you go to Onstage you get to order some of the products even before the Demonstrator preorder!!  So much fabulousness about Onstage!! The Occasions Catalog and the always much anticipated catalog of free items…yes, I said FREE, were given to Demonstrators at Onstage! Those new to Stampin’ Up! may not know this but from January 3 to March 31st SU! has a Sale-A-Bration(SAB)! For every $50 you spend, you get to pick out a SAB item for FREE, there are stamp sets and other items to choose from.  This year there are some additional surprises you can expect!

SAB is an excellent time for Demonstrators and Hostesses to get more FREE products…over and above the normal Hostess rewards and over and above the FREE SAB items!! If you host a party for $250, you get an ADDITIONAL $25 in FREE products!! If you join SU! and buy the Starter Kit you get the normal $125 worth of product for $99…NO S&H…you also get ANY two stamp sets!! What??? SUCH A GREAT DEAL!!

Finally, my swaps, Demonstrators can participate in Card Swaps at
Onstage, if they’d like. It is really fun, everyone just walks around swapping cards with one another. The cards shown above were the cards I swapped.  I just LOVE This Little Piggy!!

Here’s how I made the clouds:

Water color xmas Collage

This stamp set was intended for the Watercolor Christmas Project Kit in the Holiday Catalog, on page 34, however it can be purchased seperately. I didn’t get to play with it as much as I wanted. I’ve had a number of things going on, some serious office re-organizing and going to Onstage both took some big chunks of time in the month of November. I try to prepare my blogs a month ahead of time. So December blogs are done in November…ideally.

The first card in the collage is a bit untraditional, it’s not my favorite, of the 3 cards, but it was fun to do something a little different. My favorite is the top right card. I like the colors and I have a soft spot for anything polk dotted!

Here are a couple of quick tips and tricks to make your stamping a little easier.

I hope these Christmas cards either inspire you to send someone you love and care about a Christmas greeting, or to sit down and give yourself a little creating time…so you can later send someone a Christmas greeting!

Every Good Wish…comes from the heart! Whether you are celebrating Christmas, Kwanzaa or Hanukkah (or any other holiday), my wish is for quality time with friends and family, spent appreciating, encouraging and serving each other. I pray for laughter and joy to permeate the atmosphere of your celebrations. I pray for healing where it might be needed, and that everyone contributes humbly to that purpose. May it be a time of merriment, peace, love and joy!

Whether someone wishes you “Happy Hanukkah”, “Happy Kwanzaa” or “Merry Chritmas”, the intent is the same…you are wishing your fellow man the best of all wishes for all whom he loves! Please don’t be offended if I say “Merry Christmas” to your Hanukkah and I will not be offended at your best wishes for a “Happy Kwanzaa” to my Christmas. Yes, Jesus is my Lord and Savior, but, no I’m not offended by friendly greetings. Let us choose to not think the worst of a greeting extended to us. Let us choose to think the best…that it was offered in love. Choose to not be offended, it is a very freeing thing to experience! Choose to get caught up in the joy of the season, wishing everyone, every good wish.

Stepping off of my soap box now…the name of this stamp set obviously triggered some thoughts in me that I wanted to share. I hope  it is an encouragement to you.

On to stamping…what an easy stamp set to work with! I love the splotch of color with the negative space word images. This would look good in any color! I guess I was pretty traditional with my color choices. Maybe I’ll make one in Elegant Eggplant or Bermuda Bay…Lemon Lime Twist would be another good choice…

It was easy to cut out the poinsettia die cuts and pop them into the Wood Textures DSP that I cut with the same thinlit dies, with a tiny little bit of glue.

Every Good Wish WMPINCollage

For the bottom right card, I used the technique below to partially cut the Whisper White card stock. I placed a whole scalloped circle die cut of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper behind the the partial circle.
