Picture Perfect Birthday

     Birthday cards could not be easier to design and make when you use the Picture Perfect Party Suite on page 4 of the 2018 Occassions Catalog. I’m not kidding I whipped these festive cards out in a very short time. The paper is fun and lively with bright Birthday colors!

   The only bummer about the Suite is that the manufacturer for the Picture Perfect Paper Ribbon fell through, (on page 5)…I was so looking forward to playing with it!

Another reason this suite of products is great is because the cards can be for anyone, male, female, young or older.  I will be offering some of these cards in up coming classes!

Heart Happiness

    Valentines Day always makes my heart happy! I have more Valentines Day cards to make now that we’ve added 3 really awesome people to our family, both my daughter’s husbands and my son’s wife! More about our family tradition below the Card Collage…

   I started a Valentines Day family tradition before all our kids could write. Each member of the family would write a love letter to each other family member. When the kids were little, they told me or my husband what to write for them. Oh how fun to go back and read them now! It was such a special time! From our son’s short and sweet notes to his sisters, to one he writes: “Your good at piano” and to the other he writes: “You are fun to play with” to the much wordier paragraphs from our two girls, my husbands sweet and observant notes of love and my efforts to try and express a love so big that there just aren’t words for…yes, Valentines Day has full to the brim, bursting with love memories of raising our kids! We have done one long letter to everyone since the kids have had partners, last year we missed it due to the great pain I was in with my back. This year, each of them will get a love note from me. And someday…the grandbabies will get their own Valentines.

    The following card uses the Masking Technique. I used framelits to cut out “full sticky back” postit notes for the masking. It’s an easy card to do and I love it! The ladies at my January Card Buffet made this card.

Stampin’ Blends

     If you like to color…you’re gonna LOVE Stampin’ Blends! They are less expensive than other quality alcohol markers…AND…even less expensive than the refills for other alcohol markers!

   I had SO MUCH fun coloring these cards!! I sat next to my hubby as he watched tv…and I sorta watched tv, but mostly colored! I’m just beginning to learn how to use the Stampin’ Blends, but as you can see, just some basic coloring techniques make a lot of impact! (On a side note…don’t miss the 3 rain drops coming down on “Beautiful You”, those are our new Glitter and Clear Epoxy Shapes in the Occasions Catalog!)

Sure Do Love You

    Time to start preparing for Valentines Day! No better way than with Stampin’ Up’s! Sure Do Love You Bundle! The colors, which are somewhat different from the traditional pink and red, are gorgeous!

    I never would have thought to put the Calypso Coral in this group of colors but it really works! Plus it’s one of my favorite colors. These cards were so fun to make in additon to being easy. Once again, Stampin’ Up’s experitse in design and color-coordinated products makes for easy and beautiful projects that you will be proud to share with everyone you know!

    Who are your Valentines that are going to recieve a  handmade card/project? Family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, your kids’ teachers and classmates? EVERYONE loves to recieve your handmade paper creations on Valentines Day! Bless away!!

Amazing You!

   You ARE amazing!! As amazing as you are, it’s nice to know that a new day brings opportunities for do-overs! Everyone gets a clean slate on New Years, at least it kinda feels that way.  It’s a good time to write out some goals.  I’m hoping your written goals include giving yourself time to nurture your creative side, which for me is stamping greeting cards.

    I thought I’d start the year with a new and FREE stamp set!
