Water Color Brusho
September 14, 2018
I can’t get enough of this butterfly, there’s so many techniques you can do with it!! For example, to get a similar watercolor look, like you see on this card, there are several ways to do it. You could use a sponge dauber to dab whatever ink colors you want on the butterfly stamp, spritz
with water then stamp. Two, using refill bottles of ink, you could use a baby wipe as an “ink pad”. Just drip drops of different inks all over the baby wipe, then stamp the butterfly on the baby wipe to pick up the ink, spritz with water and stamp your card stock. Or, you can do what I did. I sprinkled Brusho on the dry butterfly stamp, spritzed with water then stamped. Any way you choose, you’ll come out with a unique image each and every time!

I am a butterfly collector and I have tons of stamps with a butterfly image on them. I need to try this technique on some cards. Thanks for the great ideas.

Thank you Markets of Sunshine, definitely give it a go! A butterfly with thick lines like this one will really show off the color. Have fun!
