Dashing Deer

This weeks product spotlight: Dashing Deer
This is only a small sampling of the stamps and thinlits that come in this beautiful bundle. I’ve made a few more cards with this set that I’ll be posting this week. I may make some of the catalog samples too, it’s always fun to see those in person.
I used the Stamparatus so I could get a deep color of Soft Suede since I was stamping on DSP. Next, I dabbed some of the Copper Shimmer Paint right over the residual soft suede ink using a sponge dauber…I’m happy with the result! Here’s some general instructions:
Boo boo’s are learning opportunities…and I love it even more when I don’t mess up beyond repair!

Gorgeous card! Love the deer!
We don’t have as many deer hanging around our yard as we used to. I see maybe 3 or 4 here regularly. I have spotted as many as 13 at one time, but that was a few years back!

That is so cool to have them in your yard! We see them mostly when camping, but there are a couple places around here we see them occasionally. They are so graceful and beautiful!

It’s really fun to have fawns in the yard. We had one a couple of years ago that was really little, must have just been days old. Her mama parked her in our backyard under a tree, but it was out in the open! We were worried that something happened to the mama, but by morning, the fawn had moved. We saw her later in the yard after she got a little bigger. I didn’t realize the does would leave the babies for such a long stretch at a time, especially when they are so young!

That is so cool! I guess I thought mother deer were more nurturing as well. You wouldn’t think she would’ve had to travel too far for food.
