This weeks Product Spotlight: Painted Glass and Illuminated Christmas

   I finally got a chance to play with this set…the Painted Glass Bundle. One of the fun things about this set is that it co-ordinates with one of the stamp sets in this years Holiday Catalog. I’ll be posting a card Wednesday that combines the two sets.

Some “how to” hints…

It’s really hard to see in these pictures, but I stamped the rose all along each of the edges of the Night of Navy mat…framing the smoky slate textured mat. I used Night of Navy ink to stamp the roses.

The sentiment is heat embossed. I used adhesive sheets for the beautiful black frames…it is so much easier and way less messy than liquid glue. I used the Gold Shimmer Paint from the Holiday catalog to paint the rose after I had used the Classic Markers to color it. Love that bit of sparkle!

I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to raise both of the square elements of the card. I’m super happy with how it turned out…well, it took a couple of days…I wasn’t sure if I really liked it at first! How about you, what do you think of this card?

My favorite Deer

This weeks product spotlight: Dashing Deer

This is my favorite deer stamp and thinlit from this bundle. I never tire of a Damask pattern…never ever…I can see this deer in every one of the SU! colors and it would be GORGEOUS! He’s so Majestic…that’s the perfect word for this beautiful image.

Here’s the measurements:

  1. It is a standard 5 1/2″ X 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ piece of Tranquil Tide Card Stock.
  2. The Sahara Sand mat for the dsp is 4 5/8″ X 3 5/8″
  3. The dsp is Joyous Noel from the Holiday Catalog and it measures: 4 1/2″ X 3 1/2″
  4. The mat under the reindeer is 3 5/8″ X 2 3/4″ and is stamped with Sahara Sand.
  5. The deer is stamped in Merry Merlot, double stacked, and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensional mini’s.

On another note…this is my first “Craft Fair Season”. I’ve done some Vendor events this past year but never any Holiday Season Craft Fairs. I found a couple used card racks, that needed a little love, for a good price. What do you think? If you saw them in person, you would see all the rust spots and chips that were there before we painted the racks…they look 100 times better now!
